Extracting the APK Using ADB

1. Connect the Android device

Enable USB debugging, connect the device to the computer, and accept the debugging authorization prompt on the device. Check the connection:

adb devices

adb shell pm list packages

2. Find the APK location

Run the following command to locate its installed APK:

adb shell pm path com.myapp.name

Example output, with an illustrative path:

package:/data/app/EXAMPLE_DIRECTORY/myapp.apk

3. Copy the APK to the computer

Copy the actual path returned by the previous command, remove the package: prefix, and use it with adb pull:

adb pull “/data/app/EXAMPLE_DIRECTORY/base.apk”

Replace EXAMPLE_DIRECTORY with the actual directory from your device.

Reminder: Use the path returned by pm path, not the illustrative path above.
